SHAKE, RATTLE & ROLL - 2009 |

 I guess that the buzzword for SR&R-09 must be “LITE.” So this will be our SR&R-LITE for 2009. There are several reasons why we must cut back on our regular big event : 1. During this time of economic uncertainty, two of our major donors have had to make the decision not to sponsor us this year (one gave us $5,000 and the other $2,500). 2. My health is getting to the point where I find that I do not have the where-with-all nor the energy to plan and execute an awareness day that had quite literally grown into something much bigger than I had ever anticipated. |

Shaking it Up! PD & Politics |
 On Saturday, September 6th, 2008, I will once again be wearing my pro-Democratic politics on my shirtsleeve. On that date, I will be hosting, at my house, a meet & greet opportunity for my girlfriend, Jehan Gordon who is running as a Democrat for the State House of Representatives for the 92nd in veteran’s affairs, labor issues and helping the people in the Quad Cities who were devastated by the horrific flooding earlier this year. |

Conversations with Dr. Cady |
 I spoke with Dr. Craig Cady of Bradley University several weeks ago and he, for once, sounded a bit disappointed. "Things have been pretty quiet on the stem-cell front," he said. "We seem to be stuck."
However, when I met him on Friday, July 18th, 2008, he was in fine spirits and an expansive mood.

The 7TH Annual SHAKE, RATTLE & ROLL-2008 will be held on Sunday, September 21st in the parking lot across the street from Kelleher’s Irish Pub & the downtown Peoria Post Office at the corner of State & Water Streets along the beautiful riverfront.
